2GB. The way SLI works is that the GPUs each have their own set of VRAM to access but they work on the same frame together. You do not double your VRAM in SLI.
There is rumor that in DX12 it will be possible to double it but there has been no solid proof stating that to be true.

didnt it say that in directx12 you would be able to utilize all vram, but it wouldnt effectively be doubled, that each card can only swap so much data with the other?

Thats one of many "future features" such as the ability to use 2 different GPU's together (even across Nvidia and AMD), that has not yet been released nor confirmed that the functionality will even be there.
