Hello, I am looking for help regarding my wireless Wi-Fi extender, the home I live in is old and has bad wiring and for the most part bad signal so I am forced to use this. I have a TP-link AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender. When on the 2.4hz channel of the extender the Wi-Fi is consistent but very poor getting speeds around 10-15 mpbs. When on the 5hz channel the speeds are much better hovering around 80 mpbs, the only issue is that it frequently cuts out 1-2 times every couple of hours making it very frustrating to work around. Is there way to make stop this from occurring? I have it fully updated to the latest firmware so I am unsure of the exact cause, the distance from the original source of Wi-Fi is only a few rooms down so I don’t think that is the issue. Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks.

Relative to where you are and where the router is, where is the extender? The optimal location is 1/2 the distance between you and the router. That way the extender gets better signal but can still provide you a signal.
