I was trying to update my bios, thinking it would fix the problem I had, but my computer froze mid update and now when i try to boot, I'm getting 2 beeps post. I looked up the beeps and it says memory parity. I'm not sure what this is or how to fix this.

Edit:

Well I uninstalled all the cores and held the button for 60 sec. Waited about 15min, started up and when it got to the windows loading screen, it blue screened after about 3 seconds.
Also if I try to do windows repair, it just restarts the computer.

I doubt it was caused by the Phenom... if Windows is not installed there is no reason for the kernell error to come up... what I've found to be the cause is such a situation is the CD/DVD Drive having trouble reading the CD/DVD disk... installing Windows from a USB installer should solve it.

How many tests did you do, with what program or programs? if only one, try different programs and tests... Once or one program may not be conclusive, and even other components may cause CPU issues... so try testing the Phenom for more accurate results and finding if other components had an influence on the test results.

Read the comments in the thread. they say Prime95 is not good for testing AMD CPUs, and you need more than one program to test the CPU. Some other programs are suggested in the thread.

Also try the Core Damage 0.8h, and disable all BIOS settings Imentioned a week ago related to power saving before running CPU tests.
• AMD Cool & quiet
• Hardware thermal Control
• CPU smart fan control
• AMD C1E Support

Not being able to get the Phenom working may indicate the influence of other components, so try getting it to work
