2 Cpu's on a single socket

my question was basicly just about the chipset, what I was planning to do was to grab 2 Socket 754 MoBo's and 2 AMD Athlon CPU's, then I would remove the weld of one socket and then I would to weld that free socket in the back of the intact MoBo, after that it was just a matter of placing the coolers on both sides of the board and turn it on.

but as I've said, my question was only to check if this procedure was technily possible, if the MoBo would boot with that configuration.

Thanks for the laugh.
Weld? lol. Were you going to use mig or oxy-acetylene?
Even if the rest of your idea was viable (which its not for too many reasons to go into), did it not occur to you that if the socket was on the back the pins would all be reversed/crossed-over relative to the other socket?

Whoa, what a n00b-fest forum and a ripoff of http://www.ocforums.com/ (forum of overclockers.com) 😱

lol so whats this forum full of then? including the one you just linked muppet boy?
Watch your mouth/finger or you'll be walking out of here in no time.

OCForums, like Xtremesystems, Nordic, VR-Zone and few other forums are catered for overclockers looking to break world-record which they've done so many times in the past.
While this forum is full of people smelling your blood right now.

Lol... thats funny... wusy telling other people to mind their manners.

Why don't you understand that he is saying just swapping the engine over. Obviously in real life it wouldnt work but thats not the point.
Imagine a V8 running at 2,000 RPM. Now imagine a 4-cylinder running at 2,000 RPM. Put either one in the same car, and its going the same speed.
The important word to remember here is

His analagy is quite sound. You dont understand that he is being hypothetical.

Obviously in real life it wouldn't but thats not the point? Does that mean the 2 single core cpu's on one butchered mobo wont work either?

Can we get back on track and talk about whether the 2 cpu idea would work?

You could put a 4-cylinder or a V8 on at least one of Ford's manual transmissions, you just needed to use the right bell housing.

And I'm tempted to talk of the Pontiac Iron Duke, but that would make the analogy complicated.

mad_fitzy, this guy has no imagination. Any analogy requires at least a little...
