So yesterday and today I've been facing really high ping while playing games (I typically have 40-60 ms on a daily basis without spikes). Now it stays on a constant 160-170ms. Sometimes it drops to 120 minimum but it still bounces back.
I tried restarting my router and PC. I disconnected every device connected to my WiFi and still no luck.
I contacted my ISP and told them my problem, they told me that my network is fine, maybe the games have viruses that cause high ping (xD I tried not to laugh while they told me this, so I hung up)
I tried speedtest.net and the results were the exact same as before,50mbps/5mbps D/U speed(when I had normal ping), but the thing is that when I go and watch twitch.tv it lags even on 480p!!
Guys can you please help me? It is really frustrating... Those companies don't know how to fix shit...

I read the thread and there was no solution. Also cpu bottlenecking doesn't affect ping.

First see if your router has a bandwidth monitor.

If someone if syncing to the cloud it can last for days.

If there is no bandwidth monitor you need to test with minimal variables.
PC wired into modem with resource monitor up.
PC into router with wifi off and no other clients.
Then add back other clients.

Try and minimize the variables and then add them back until the issue is back.

If someone is swamping your line it's not the ISP's fault.
Calling them and saying you have a high ping isn't going to get you far.
You need evidence that it's not on your side or they won't even look at it.

Bro thanks for the answer but i literally understood nothing on how to do that sorry 😛

That's what google is for.
