Motherboard is an Asus H81M-E
2 Ram sticks are different brands

1st Slot will be 8gb ram ddr3 at 1600 mhz with CAS Latency 11
2nd Slot will be 4gb ram ddr3 at 1600 mhz with CAS Latency 9

Would this be safe to use, and how would it impact me performance wise?

Solution
They'll both have to run at cl11 if they'll work together at all. Anytime you start mixing ram there's a definite chance it won't work together. you should probably go into bios before you add the cl11 stick and set the timings to that of the cl11 stick before you add it

I have a question. What if one of my ram is only programmable between 7 to 9 CL and my cl11 stick is not programmable?
