Hello!
I have a radeon HD 3870X2 and a radeon HD 5450. The 3870X2 only has two DVI-I and one S-video output and I need a VGA output for my second screen and the 5450 has one, so I'm wondering if I can use the 3870X2 to my big screen and my 5450 to my extra screen. I've tried in win 10/XP/Ubuntu but it won't show anything on the other screen...

SPECS:
OS: win 10/XP/Ubuntu ("dual boot")
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 630 2.80GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
Power Supply: KÖNIG - 550W
RAM: 4GB Crusal 1333mhz

It should work. I know that sometimes mismatched busses like a 4x with a 16x have problems but this does not look to be the case. One is a PCIe 2.1 and the other is not and this could be the problem but I doubt it because I have had older cards running along side new ones before.

It could also be a driver compatibility problem. Have you tried different drivers?
