Hi all,

I have a laptop "Acer Aspire 5733 series and Model n. PEW71" with i3 processor (and OS Windows 7 x64) and at the present I have 2 modules of RAM as per picture

(4GB 2Rx8 PC3 10600s + 2GB 1Rx8 PC3 10600s)

My doubt is: to obtain a total of 8GB, can I install 2 modules of 4GB 2Rx8 PC3 10600s?

I know there might be an electric problem, I might risk to burn something ??

My worry is related to the different value of V. : 1.35V for 1Rx8 and 1.5V for 2Rx8.

I'm certain the laptop supports 8GB of RAM.

The laptop is out of warranty so Acer will not give me "support" on this matter...

Thank you :)

The 4GB modules need to be 2RX8 PC3 10600s, Get the part number off the 4GB module and find it used on Ebay, that is what I did. I have a Toshiba C55 that came with modules like yours and I was surprised that one was 1.5Volts and the other was 1.35 volts from the factory. I don't think they are making the 2RX8 modules anymore so that is why I said buy on eBay.
