Hello,
I have recently bought a gtx1080 and I am seeing some ports different to my old card, now I am unsure which way to configure my set up. I have:
Monitor 1: Benq 144hz (connected with dvi)
Monitor 2. Dell 60hz (connected with hdmi)
I also have a digital television which I currently am having to share with the hdmi lead for the monitor 2 (unplugging and switching every time I want to watch movies etc)
This is obviously less than ideal so I am wondering what is the best way to connect all 3 the same time, what leads or adaptors I will need, which should be using the hdmi or the dvi, etc.
I am guessing the 2 monitors are fine how they are and I will need a converter of dp 1.4 (from the 1080 out) to hdmi to go into the television? Or just a dp 1.4 to hdmi lead.
I would also like that when I have the 1080 plugged to the television with hdmi, that the sound will come from the motherboard and into my amp/speakers, not from the television's built in speakers.
Am I doing anything wrong here? Thank you for any help.
