[SOLVED] 2 pins on 4-pin RGB

Hi everyone,

I have a B450 Tomahawk motherboard from MSI, that features 2 4-pin RGB connectors. However, they both have the same signal output, and I would like to have two different colors in my case : red and teal. I bought two led strips (one for teal through RGB) and was wondering if was possible to obtain red by only connecting pins 1 (GRND) and 3 (+12V RED) on the other 4 pin connector.

Is there any risk in doing that ?

Many thanks in advance,
RDLC

I wouldn't selective connect pins on a header like that. If anything you either set the color for the 2 zones of the LED strips via the option within MSI's Mystic lighting/Dragon App.
