Hello,

I want to move my router nearer the centre of the house for various reasons. The modem and main distribution switch are located together currently with the router.

I know I can use powerline between the modem and router (WAN) and again between the router and the switch (LAN).

My question is though has anyone done this with a single pair of powerline adapters with 2 or 3 ports on them? i.e have 2 networks... 1 on each port pair. I wonder if there are any powerline brands which have this feature?

If I can't do this I'll end up with 2 adapters at each end which is both costly and a bit unsightly really too.

I've marked nigelivery's answer as correct because in the more domestic space this is correct there is no way. However I did find that Devolo make powerline adaptors for the Business space which have a VLAN capability which enables splitting the ports onto separate VLANs. However this is only available in the US and for a small fortune!

And the Devolo has fairly poor performance compared to many of the consumer models that are available -- much cheaper to use two sets of TP-Link AV1200 (although they will not work as well as a single set because they share the bandwidth of your power cabling, however this is also an issue when using a single set of Devolo for multiple VLANs).
