I have 2 4gb drives and 2 6gb drives. If I have a 4disc NAS can I create 1 Raid 1 with the 4gb drives and 1 Raid 1 with the 6 gb drives

Thanks... I am interested in a QNAP TS-431p. I'll try and contact QNAP for an answer. Second Thought. Would a Raid 5 work with the aforementioned drives? And what would the total size be?

I have a Qnap TS-453A.

RAID 5 with those drive will result in a 12TB volume.(10.6TB effective space)
2TB from each of the 6TB drives will be wasted. You'll have 4x4TB, and removing 4TB for the parity.

2 individual RAID 1?
Yes. 2 different volumes. 2x 4TB and 2x 6TB. Giving you 10TB space, (approx 9TB effective space)
