I just recently purchased 2 G.skill tridentz rgb series 16gb. My motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-Z270X-Ultra Gaming. My psu is Corsair Power Supplies , RM 850W. For some reason when i install 2 ram sticks my pc will not display anything but will turn on for about 4-5 seconds before shutting off and repeating. 1 ram stick will boot the pc and work fine. Not sure if its the mobo or not enough power coming through my psu? I just bought my new mobo also.

This is typically an issue with the CPU in the socket. Take out your CPU and check the socket for bent pins. Reseat the CPU and place the cooler back on and be sure not to overtighten it. When you put your RAM sticks back in make sure you have them seated completely.

I highly doubt this is a power supply issue. If you still cannot get the two sticks to work then boot with one stick and update the BIOS.

whenI reseat the cpu would i need to re add thermal paste?
