2 routers or powerline?

i just moved my computer out of a shared bedroom with my brother and we used to stream. so the router and wireless router is in there. so now im in a room thats to far and we dont want to run a wire across the entire house. to get best streaming speeds, should i buy a new router or should i get a powerline adapter as a suggestion my friend gave me? (was looking at netgear 1200)
