Approximate Purchase Date: Within a week

Budget Range: $200 (Canadian) before taxes etc.
Monitor Usage from Most to Least Important: Surfing the internet, gaming, movies

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: NCIX (Canadian)

Country of Origin: Doesn't matter
Brand Preferences: BenQ, Samsung, etc. Whichever provides good price/performance
Physical Size (Diagonal): 23+ inches
Resolution(s) You'll Consider: 1920x1080 or higher prefered
Inputs Needed: DVI, VGA, HDMI would be nice
Panel Type(s) Desired: Any is fine, good color reproduction, response time, etc. are all about equal priority, viewing angle is not much a problem.

LED Backlight: Required / Desired / Indifferent / Avoided (note: before indicating a desire for an LED backlight, you should know that low-end "white" LED backlights can give a blue tinge to the monitor, and thereby look worse than CCFL backlights; if you have other reasons for wanting one in spite of this, you can provide them here)

Speakers: Indifferent
Wall-Mount: Not needed
Stand Functions: Basic tilt would be nice, others are fine too.

Additional Comments: Found a VA Panel http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=55963&promoid=1097 on sale for $200, good deal? Also, are 120Hz/Low response time (2ms) worth the added cost? How is the VA compared to others topping NCIX's sales such as the BenQ G2420HD http://ncix.com/products/?sku=53667&vpn=G2420HD&manufacture=BenQ and Samsung 2494SW http://ncix.com/products/?sku=47680&vpn=LS24KIZKFV%2FZA&manufacture=Samsung ?
For gaming, I am about middle range, prefering FPS.

If i were to buy a new monitor today it would be a Dell UltraSharp U2311H 23”W

Worth the extra $40 for IPS panel, better colour reproduction,HAS,and DP.
There is no industry standard for measuring response time so manufacturers can claim anything they want.
120Hz is actually smoother then 60hz.
I agree with you about LED backlighting it can be much worse on cheaper models then monitors with CCFL.
The BenQ BL2400PU looks interesting but i haven't researched that particular model.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I think I will stick to the BenQ BL2400PU. They both have very similar stats, but the BenQ has a larger static contrast ratio, larger panel size, additional monitor adjustments, and fits my budget better.
