Additional Comments: looking at he HaF X for the case and msi lightning 580 3gb for gpu. I have a monitor, but it is quite old. Maybe a tri monitor setup? My MAIN concern is running BF3 on ULTRA maxed out no problem. So other than the computer, I need a mouse, keyboard, and maybe a monitor as stated above. Thanks ahead of time for anyone's help.

Though we don't know much yet, it seems like Frostbite 2 (BF3's engine) will be more demanding on the CPU than others, so there's a good chance they could max it at 5760 x 1080. The bezel is just the frame of the monitor.

you may be able to max it out and you may not. beta is coming out next thursday we will have a better idea then. im guessing you wont be able to max it out but it will be close. a tri monitor setup is definitely worth it even if you cannot fully max games out. it is really amazing that technology.

Exactly. The more CPU heavy, the better off you'll be. As mjmjpfaff said, we'll have a better idea on Thursday.

There are a pretty wide selection of monitors out there. I'd read several reviews for whatever your top pick is. I have 3 Viewsonic VX2250wm-LED displays. In general, TN monitors are better for gaming because of their high response times, while IPS display have better viewing angles and colors but slower response times. TN displays are cheaper too.

Ugh....im really torn Nim....Part of me wants to get three monitors but the other part of me wants to use the money on another gtx 580 so i can max out BF with AA on...
and yea i guess we wont know for sure till thursday

just think about it 3 screens for a gigantic field of veiw with a great picture. or 1 screen that will give a tiny field of view and an amazing looking picture. the 3 screens will be an investment. it will make all of your games that much more exciting

I'm hoping for your sake that 2 6970s can max it out with AA at 5760 x 1080. It's entirely possible. 😀

Do you know someone or do you have two 6970s? Cause I would like to see the results of that. If it doesn't run I should keep in mind ima be buying this in January and prices will go down, so maybe 3 6970s can max it!

I kept trying to find the review I remembered, but your post reminded me that the review was of a 6990/6970 TriFire setup. So you might consider that.

This review is interesting because it compares the 6970, 6950, and 580 in triple-GPU setups among other things.

Update: Eyefinity appears to be buggy in the beta release, so you're going to have to wait a little longer to know. But since you're buying in January, it'll be fine. We may even see new graphics cards by then.
