Hi,
I was wondering what a good laptop would be for $2000 - $2500 dollars.
Preferably 13'' or 14'', but it could be 15 as long as it is very thin, because I will be taking it to school.
Definitely not a Mac, and would have to be good for programming and possibly some gaming.
Thanks

$2000-$2500 budget for programming is insane! You can develop on very minimal systems. Gaming however is a whole different ball game which would make good use of a discreet graphics card, where your budget is much better targeted. Of course you can develop on a gaming laptop so that wont be an issue.

I am slightly out of the loop concerning modern gaming laptops. My most recent "gaming" laptop was made by Asus. The build quality is to this date phenomenal, the laptop is still working great (although dated at this time being over 7 years old).

Asus makes ROG gaming specific laptops, but it seems that these are mostly "large" 17+ inch displays, the smallest I was able to find was 15 inches. It may be worth your time to investigate their products if a gaming laptop is what you are after, but you will probably be able to find smaller laptops elsewhere, just keep in mind that you will be locked into which ever laptop specifications you purchase (you cant upgrade much in most laptops other than storage drives, and RAM), so getting one with a good GPU is essential to your gaming performance for the long run.

Sorry I could not provide more specific options for you, best of luck!
