$2000 streaming pc need help

Hello, I am planning on building a pc in the next few months. I have built one before so I know the basics. This pc is goin to primarily be used to stream my xbox gameplay at the highest quality possible for the price. I also play wow and I think a GTX 770 should be fine for this. The cpu I am thinking of is the i7 4930k. Everything else is up to you guys to throw my way. (I will consider comments to change my gpu and cpu if you have good reasons to support it). The cases I am also looking at are the NZXT Phantom 530 and the NZXT H440. (Looking for more options with the same cool design look) NEEDS A GOOD WINDOW!! Also try to stay close to $2000 dollars( can go over up to $2150 for good reasons, but no $1500 builds please.

Do you really need a 4930K for that purpose? Seems extremely excessive.

It is excessive. In all honesty you can do it for like 700 dollars total. I currently stream Smite and LoL for about 500 bucks in 1080 with dual screens. Now Im not saying im getting 100 fps while streaming but i get like 40 or so in smite and like 85 in LoL.

That and AMD>Intel unless you really need single core proccessing power. Generally though the more cores you have for streaming the better. The AMD fx6300 that i have is said to be a bit worse then intels I5 3570k iirc but mine performs miles better when it comes to streaming.

Also just a question. Are you using a hauppage or?

I mean that really is the thing. If you want to go for a 2000 dollar build after like the first 800 dollars or so the power per dollar is very low.

Although mastorm you could have still given a somewhat better build. For instance that graphics card is wicked overkill. Why not get a cheaper 200 dollar one or so. Then he can have a BluRay drive and a better case. Just a thought. In this case though anyways an AMD machine would be better. The more cores you have the better your pc is for streaming. Although its kind of stupid. With a price point of 2k it makes the AMD solution just stupid. Thats what i think the real issue is. the budget is so high that for the last like 750 dollars its just 1mm leaps for every dollar spent.

Sorry im late on checking back the the forum. You all seem to think that 4930k is way to much. I am running an i5 4670k atm and streaming my xbox gameplay at 720p 60 fps. I want better quality. My internet has 4.2 upload consistanly so my bitrate is at 3.3k-3.5k. I find that the higher I put my cpu preset the better quality I get. I am streaming Call of Duty so its very motion intensive. At the faster preset im maxing out at 80%-100% cpu. I want to get to a higher preset and be able to run things like music and play games while streaming. This build wont happen till next november/december most likely. Which means most of these parts will probably be getting replaced by new parts coming out.
Also I want to stick to intel. Any word on new cpu's coming out?
Dont need a monitor or keyboard or mouse.
And as for GPU. The only pc game i play is WoW and i run at 100 FPS easy on max with a Radeon 7950 so i think a GTX 770 should be fine for that and even other games should be fine a mid settings.

Would like to stay at 16gb ram also

I can't imagine a 4930K is going to improve things that much. It's probably your WiFi connection that's the bottleneck here.

First off give us your computer specs if you really want to know whats going wrong. I have streamed ps3 at 720 60 fps with an I3 before... So there is definetly something going wrong on your end. My guess are 2 things.

One your using integrated graphics. Which is taking up a lot of processes. Two you have something running in the background. Be it music or anything like that. Thirdly your getting packet loss or something else. Fourthly and probably the most common is that you have a setting wrong in your streaming software.

So ill go over all of em:
Do you have an integrated graphics card or dedicated?

Are you running a lot of programs in the background?

Are you using obs, xsplit, or some other streaming software?

How much RAM do you have?

Personally I am an AMD fan boy through and through. And they still currently run the market on stream machines. The real problem you have in my mind is that your getting a lot of useless stuff you dont need just because of how high you set your dam budget.

I also want to point out before you get your mind set on the 4930k from what I have heard is that the motherboard may or may not need a bios update. The CPU has to have a LGA2011 socket which already puts it behind as the only boards I can find with that socket are the older x79 chipsets. Also apparently the X79 will not support the new broadwell CPU's that Intel will be releasing soon.

Anywho im unfollowing this thread. Any build we design will be obsolete next winter.

I can stream just fine but iv seen better quality and thats what i am going for twitch.tv/brother_dylan watch my last few vods...you quality wasnt half that good on an i3 unless your bitrate was at like 7k
