2003 Hyundai Sonata Alarm Issue

When I lock or unlock my car with my remote the alarm doesn't go off, but whenever I use the key it'll go off. I've replaced the battery in the remote and it's still doing the same thing. Also, sometimes whether my doors are locked or unlocked and I open the trunk the alarm will go off. (with or without key/keyless entry)

Just wondering what is causing this issue, thanks in advance!

Turns out the "obsessive" alarm is actually a really tricky security feature. I'll just leave this here for the future when somebody else is asking this question. Found this question around the web without a solid response or answer.
