Question 2011 Gaming Desktop, worth keeping or options?

My son built this desktop in 2011 for gaming, it's been sitting unused for a number of years. I need to decide if it's worth keeping or pass. My goals would be to use it for photography/video editing if possible. Last effort to start was unsuccessful & presented with "K Mode/Stopcode exception not handled"

Can't tell what specific parts are in it, but...almost 15 years old...there is nothing really you can reuse.

EDIT: i5-2500k and 8GB RAM....
Maybe add hard drive space and turn it into a house file server. Thats about it.
