Question 2011 MacBook Pro not recognizing ssd

I Have a MacBook Pro 2011 that I have been trying to transfer my data off of before a full reset. Unfortunately every SSD I have purchased (about 3 in total from amazon being unsuccessful) has an error being red and refuses to accept the files. any ideas??
