Question 2011 MacBook Pro shows no signs of life other than the green charging light on the side ?

I recently got a late 2011 MacBook Pro 13-inch and it does not turn on at all.
I checked the motherboard and there appears to be nothing wrong other than a tiny amount of corrosion near the ethernet port.
Does anybody know what could be wrong with it?
The charger does work by the way.

2011 are very old at this point, generally the fault is corrosion or a dead IC. Corrosion is generally found on the other side of the board where you can't see, near the LCD connector/backlight circuit.
