2016 gen Nvidia cards

I have been wanting to get a new graphics card for my computer but I don't want to spend 300 dollars and then hear two weeks later that nvidia came out with a next series of graphics cards for the same price ranged. my question is when, on average does nvidia release their "next-gen" graphics cards

Well I did hear that Nvidia's Pascal cards are coming out which is coming out around 2016. They have huge performance gains, so it's best to save that money for this upcoming year.

Sometime in 2016, and I believe it's going to be earlier than most expect. The reason is that the level of rumors and industry chatter regarding Pascal is on the upswing, usually an indication that something is on the way. I also think that Nvidia is rushing the process as much as possible to eliminate any doubts about their DirectX 12 performance.
