Question 2021 Dell Latitude 5520 BIOS CMOS Battery

Hi, I'm trying to reset the BIOS on a dell latitude, but I read in the owners manual that it uses a "coin-cell battery" which I think is different from how they used to make the CMOS batteries. Is it still possible to manually reset the BIOS in one of these laptops and if so how do I do it?

Update: I think I was using an old manual, I read the modern ones don't use CMOS. "Laptops with modern CPUs do not have a removable CMOS battery, they have a fixed (soldered) RTC battery, and “CMOS” (or more accurately EFI) settings are stored in nonvolatile flash memory. "

What does this imply about being able to reset the BIOS, is it impossible?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

All batteries on a computer, be it a desktop or a laptop or an AIO, will have a CR2032 battery to keep the time/settings in BIOS. Said battery is actually under a heatshrink/sheath.

how do I do it?
You remove/disconnect the battery from the board and leave it alone for 30 mins before you reconnect it to the board.
Actually I think that was an old user manual, for the 2021 version would it be a different type of battery? I heard they stopped using those and I don't see any indication of it on the modern laptops
