I have ran into the strangest issue...

I just got a 2060 Super to replace an RX 480 for my HTPC so I can run VR on it. It won't display anything on the TV when plugged into my Receiver.

Runs fine on another monitor, direct plug into the TV, everything, but plugged into my Harmon Kardon AVR1565 nothing works - it just cycled NO HDMI to 480p, then back to NO HDMI.

I swapped the HDMI cord as well. Its the pairing of the 2060 super and this receiver, No display shows. I then put my RX 480 back in...works fine. Put 2060 back in, no display...I'm lost.

Any idea what the heck could be happening here?

Seems like Hdmi handshake issue.

Try connect to the TV directly and change resolution below 1080p to 720p or lower. Adjust Hz to 60 or maybe try 30. Then try the AVR again. Hopefully if you get a display then try change resolution back to normal.

Also try power up the PC, TV and AVR in a different order.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I plugged it directly into TV HDMI port, loaded up and installing the drivers now so I can change resolution check Hz etc.

Worse case, I'll have to give it to the wife and take her Vega 64 out...its relatively close in performance.
