I’ve read tons of reviews and asked questions on my new system here. Of course I really could use a 2080ti, but couldn’t we all. I’m replacing my SLI 980ti with a single card. 2070S are out, reviewed and based on stock have great options in the $510-$540 range. The 2080S isn’t expected to have the big performance gains of the other 2 supers and it’ll be a while before we have them out followed by 3rd party boards. 2080 prices are dropping but at barely faster than a 2070S should I be watching this close and trying to get before they are out of stock? I still see $610 for bare bones and $700+ for the well liked custom.
I know we can’t predict the future the the 2070S is a known quantity, will the 2080 drop enough and is it worth being a serious contender, and can any anticipated benchmark make the 2080S worth blowing up my build quite a bit at $700-800?
