Hey all,

So I just built a new gaming rig last week and I noticed while playing Tarkov the other day that my memory usage was nearly 100% which seemed abnormal. I never saw it get this high on my old rig. I shut down my PC and with just basic/background applications running my system says its using 23% of my ram. I have 32GB of DDR5 with EXPO enabled. Running on Windows 11 if that matters. Here is a snapshot:

I dunno 23% seems incredibly high for 32gb of ram. And some VERY quick napkin math shows that adding up everything in the screenshot is roughly 2500-3000MB of ram in use. Which would be about 10%. Is one of my ram stick faulty? Under system information it shows I have 32GB but something just seems...off here.

Any ideas?

are both the sticks identical and came in the same kit?

try reseating the RAM and see if it helps.

either mismatched RAM, that causes it to not use one stick, or Its EXPO thats causing it. does disabling EXPO still have the same issue?

Not to worry.
Windows manages ram contents well.
It will keep unused code in ram on the speculation that it can be instantly reused.
Old code is moved out only when necessary to insure availability for new code.
