Question 24" 75hz or 21.5" 144hz Monitor?

Buying a monitor for my brother and I found these two monitors for around the same price:

Acer NITRO VG240 IPS (75hz)
Acer EG220QP TN (144hz)

I wanted to get him a 144hz monitor (future proofing) but I heard that the two inches ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) plus the IPS panel makes a big difference. Right now he's using a PS4. he might be switching to a PS5 later on but there's still some time for that.

I think if he's coming from a PS4 75 Hz will feel fast to him.....and the other thing is...you have to have some pretty decent hardware to reach 144Hz in a lot of the more demanding games.

The problem with recommendations for stuff like this...every human is a little different.
What looks good to you and I may not look good to him.

He's 10 so he doesn't really understand refresh rates that well. He probably just thinks that "faster = better"
