Question 24-pin cable needs replacing ?

Hello, my Corsair TX650w 80 Gold PSU has broken 2 cables on the header, the small metallic header are wide open than before.

Can an electrician change the whole 24-pin cable or should I replace the whole PSU?
I havehad it for 5 years.

Yes it costs 120€+ and it's over 750w availables in my country

No, only what your pc pulls is what the psu will provide, while running cooler because it's not at it's maximum. Power bills from pcs isn't significant anyway.

I know but it's the double money from BeQuiet! System Power 9 CM 600W 80 PLUS Bronze and it's pain in a## 170€ which BeQuite costs only 60€ :/
Would the BeQuite harm my pc you think?

Look at warranty, warranty speaks for itself in terms of quality and how confident the company is with it. Rmx is 10yrs guaranteed, bronze be 3 maybe 5 yrs? I haven't looked at it but have a fair idea it be 3yrs. You won't go wrong with Corsair RMx long term.

I see the reviews about the rmx 750w and it's worse like bad cable management and noise sometimes

I too suggest you get the Corsair RM750X 750W. It's worth the wait and saving a bit more.

As boju said, few years down the line if you upgrade to a more demanding CPU + GPU that PSU would still cover you.

That is a good quality PSU, but even regarless of the brand name, a 10-year warranty speaks volumes. No company likes to lose money. If they warranty their PSU for 10 years it means they're confident over 95% of that model's units would work well over 10 years.

I have 850w Rmx and couldn't speak a negative thing about it. Wires a pretty stiff but that's no drama.

Warranty for Rxm 750w is covered by the stores in my country and not from the company itself - Corsair

If your local store offers warranty it isn't included from Corsair, keep your receipt, if you do contact Corsair. You're buying their product, manufacturer warranty has nothing to do with your local store. Don't buy warranty extensions or anything of that bs if they offer it.

Every word in every review is not a verse of the gospels. What bad reviews? Can you give us links to these 'bad reviewes'?

Review from trusted sources that have valid testing methodology and the proper equipment should be taken seriously.

Than again some features are a matter of personal preference. Some people would consider a PSU fan almost silent and same PSU would seem noisy to some other people.

If a see a trusted reviewer talk about bad voltage regulation or ripple suppression and wide protections margins on a PSU and I see that warranty period is 3-5 instead of 10 years I'd consider that unit not a good one. That also depends on size of the values and figures. If the PSU deviate 1% from the standard in ripple suppression or 10%. Not the same.

In a nutshell, as stated by boju, it's always worth it to get a good quality PSU. From any brand. Seems like you have to get one from a limited market. Among the ones you mentioned I'd get the RMx 750.

Because it's 3yrs warranty, cheap, bronze, just not as good. Upgrade to 3060ti or equivalent graphics card, a card that can transient spike, then you'll see pitfalls of cheaping out on psu. Just don't.

Just because a PSU is 750W doesn't mean it is going to pull 750W the entire time. The wattage number is just the amount of power it can covert from AC > DC. If your computer is only needing 50W that is all the PSU will draw. The RMx has higher efficiency which means it could save you money on power in the long run over a PSU with lower efficiency.

The fan orientation depends on your case. If the PSU is top mounted, the fan should face the inside of your case.

If bottom mounted and the case has an opening on the bottom of the case itself, the fan should face that opening.

If there is no opening on the bottom, then it should face toward the inside of the case.

The RMx 750 is a solid choice.
