Hei, I have dell vostro 3669 core i5 and i want to upgrade the PSU so i can get gtx 750ti to stick in on the CPU,, but the board only accept 6 pin power , i read on another thread that i should buy converter from moddiy.com , but it too expensive and its not available in my country,, i have a plan to customize 24 to 6 pin converter for HPz230 or z220, can someone help me to draw te exact cable pattern.?

Solution
I had a dell optiplex 3020 sff and I got an adaptor for it I think it was 8 pin? And it works great I’m not sure how the 6 pin ones work but the older ones still work with the power button I know the Lenovo’s though don’t work the same and if you get an adaptor the powersupply doesn’t shut off when you hit the power button so id do some research about those 6 pin adaptors

If it's too expensive, you probably shouldn't bother with the graphics card upgrade because a $15 cable should be a drop in a bucket.

I shudder to think what kind of PSU you think you're going to get with your budget.

MoDIY is based in Hong Kong and tends to ship "everywhere". What country are you in where ModDIY doesn't ship?

So looking up the dell it had the option to come with a gtx 1050 so as long as you get a 750ti that doesn’t have a 6 pin power connector on it you should be fine with the stock psu. I’m not sure about the newer dells but dells of the past have had well over built power supply’s and could handle more than they were rated for so I say give it a try if not see if you can get a gtx 1050

After I thought about it, ur idea is great .. but gtx 1050 has 75Tdp, im afraid that the 235 psu on my dell cant handle it

If the manufacturer put the card in from the factory it should be fine . That cpu takes 65w let’s say everything else together takes 50w then add the 75w gpu you got plenty
