My laptop is Lenovo Ideapad 320-14AST, AMD A6, 4GB RAM DDR4 and 500GB HDD

I researched about the laptoo and found out that its max supported RAM is 20GB and max supported Mhz is 2400Mhz

So, I bought a Kingston 16GB 2400Mhz DDR4 and a Ramsta S800 512GB SSD.

Before I upgraded it, the frequency that was set is 2133Mhz, but when I upgraded it and changed the SSD and RAM. The ram frequency that show is just 1066Mhz

what seems to be the problem and how can I fix it and set it to 2400Mhz

Thank you!

Straight away on the website for this model, you can see it's supporting ddr4 2133mhz ram. Which equals 2 x 1066mhz. Which is correct.

Product Overview - ideapad 320-14IAP, 320-14AST - Lenovo Support US

What CPU have? It's possible the CPU itself is capable of higher speed mem, but your motherboard does not support it. So there's little you can do.
I have AMD A6, but there's only 1 ram slot, and the previous ram was just one 4GB ram and it runs on 2133mhz. I'm confused why this is happening right now

It's just the way different sticks display.

Open task manager/perf/mem.

What does the speed show?

It could be that, thats the max of it. I just had the same problem and my gaming PC maxed out at 2667Mhz even though I saved it at 3200Mhz, what I did was try going lower then 3200Mhz and every option under it until it saved to it.
