2400mhz ram in 3000mhz supported motherboad

i want to get the (Corsair 16GB Kit (2x8wGB) DDR4 Dominator C15 3000MHz) but the motherboad i want (ASUS ROG Strix B250F Gaming LGA1151 ATX Desktop Motherboard) only supports 2400/2133mhz will it still work ?

Yes it will probably work, but the RAM will run at a max of 2400MHz. Consequently, you're spending/wasting money on higher grade RAM than is necessary. Either get a 2400MHz RAM kit or find a mobo that supports 3000MHz RAM.
