I have 2x4 gb od ddr4 memory and i want to buy some more. If I buy the same type of ram from the same brand but i buy 2x8 gb of ram will it work. Soo 2x4gb and 2x8 gb ram togather.

Yes i want to end up with 24gbs of ram

I have an msi b450 motherboard
I have windows 10
I have 2x4 gbs od 2666mhz ddr4 hyperx ram

Ryzen is not as bad as most make it about ram. I currently have a 3200 rated kit in my ryzen build running great, even with a slight xmp. DO NOT GO WITH A KIT SLOWER THAN 3000 MHZ WITH RYZEN!!! Doing so will tank the performance dramatically. The Infinity fabric connecting the multiple dies in ryzen runs at 1/2 of the memory speed, so when you use slow ram with ryzen the dies in ryzen cannot communicate as fast.

Nobody can answer that, it might work, might not work, and might be made to work with adjustments.

Anytime you add more memory their a chance it will not work. Crucial says they guarantee compatibility if you buy it from their site after using their system scanner.

It may work, but it won't work in duel or quad channel and will lose some performance because of that. You should sell your ram and buy a kit the size you want, in a standard size like 16 or 32 GB (you wont use more than 16..)
For them to be in quad channel you'd need to bottleneck all the ram to the slowest stick and hope they'd all run at the same timings and frequency.

You can't run quad channel on that board.
