Question 2560x1440 144HZ

Hello guys,
is a good idea to buy GTX 1080Ti from second hand to play World of tanks and Guild Wars 2 in resolution 2560x1440. I would like to get 144Fps.
Or should i wait to new graphics card on the market?

My setup is
i7 9700KF,16GB 3200Mhz,NVme disk, SSDdisk, with AOC24G2U 1920x1080
