I have just bought a 256gb USB flash drive which is formatted in fat32 so I can put my films on it to play on my Playstation 3 but the most it lets me transfer over is 3 films then when I put another one on, it always says empty folder and won't even show up on my ps3 or my laptop or smart tv, does anyone have a solution for this please that can be of help, it shouldn't be doing this as it is a 256gb capacity hard drive.

Are you sure that it is 256Gig? I would bet that you have a fake USB flash drive. Fake flash drives that are smaller than their stated capacity are very common, coming mainly from China to catch out the unwary. I test USB flash drives by filling them up with large ZIP or RAR files and using the program to test the integrity of the files. If it fails you know you have a fake flash drive and should return it to where you bought it.
You are aware that FAT32 has a 4Gig file size limit?

I have only done quick format so I will try full format, problem is I have windows 7 and the only 2 formatting options are ntfs and exfat which is why I have been using an alternative program to format it to fat32 but I'm unsure if it lets you full format it, if you know a program for windows 7 that let's you full format to fat32 then that will be marvellous and I will try it

Yes I am aware of the 4gig file size limit, all my films are around 2 to 3 gig, on my computer, it says 242gb free space left after the 3 films that I already have on there
