[SOLVED] 2666 cl 15 ram vs 2800mhz cl19 ram for i7 7700hq laptop

Solution
Just to be sure if you have modded bios on this laptop, and probably overclocked your gpu / cpu already if your attempting this ( i would avoid oc:ing cpu since many models are throttling hard already at stock). Make sure that your motherboard is running cool enough, there is thermal issues and design flaws in many laptops. Repaste gpu / cpu with thermal grizzly kryonaut its non conductive thermal paste (if you have warranty this will void it)

Get a laptop cooling fan like kootek 5 fan model, add soft thermal pads to important non cooled chips on the board and to ram too if necressary, these can move heat from the chips / components to plastic outer case efficently if done right. There are many ares where you can add them, vrm, vram...
Fortnite is one of the games where ram speed significantly matters, i only tested this until 2400mhz. Going from 1600 to 2133 / 2400mhz is huge but for 2666 to 2800 i dont think there is significant gains, you never know.

What laptop model has options for ram overclocking? I know theres few modded bios allowing it for certain laptops but im curious what has access to it at stock bios?

EDIT: What is your mainboard and laptop model, need to know chipset limitations on ram speed?

Not oced the CPU and max temps reach 80 celsius after 2 hrs gaming
