So. I am currently parting out a pc for black friday that will be used for gaming, schoolwork, and video editing/game streaming. I have a $1320 budget for black friday, and am gunning for a bit of a discount due to the build being purchased on the weekend of black friday and cyber monday. My current parts list can be found below. I am going with a R5 2600 and a GTX 1080. Now, I was wondering if I should spend my money on an upgraded motherboard (aorus gaming 7 wifi) and an R7 2700x, or if i should get an aourus GTX 1080ti. I know that 1080 and 1080ti cards are projected for a price drop for the release of the "Turing" series GPUs (ive heard that the 1080's are going down 50 and the ti's are going down 100), so I need the tech guru's of the internet to make this a bit of an easier decision to make. Thanks!!!

Solution
Best advice for your planned build:
Erase that parts list, and remake it about one week before black friday or whatever other sales you may want. Prices and availability change far too much to be planning a build months in advance. Realistically even that is going to be too early to plan your build, some components probably wont see any price drop during the sale. If they are selling well enough on their own then retailers wont offer any deals.

GPUs are never slated to drop by a certain price margin upon a new series launch. They retail at whatever retailers can get for them until they are discontinued.

Keep an eye out for changing availability as well, you never know when a new motherboard may come out and fit into your budget with better features, for example. Look at other build threads here and see if there are any that have components that catch your eye (like a better PSU, the G1 series is not great)
