Hi guys, I have an Asus R9 280X DirectCU II TOP (R9280X-DC2T-3GD5). When I'm gaming, I set my GPU Clock to 1200MHz, GPU Voltage to 1230mV, and Memory Clock to 6460MHz. However, when I run GPU benchmarks or even play games (I'm using BF3 to test), temperatures in my GPU reach the high 70s, even the 80s. I am playing on a 1080p monitor with maxed settings (i.e. ultra in BF3). Is this normal, or should I clock down and reduce voltage? Btw, the ambient temperature where I'm living is kinda high, temps of high 20C and low 30C)

Solution
Hello,

Temperatures between 62-78*C for a GPU are completely fine. If your GPU starts to hower over 86*C when playing then you can start worrying.
If heat isn't an issue, you're in no danger and can keep the clock speed to default as they are now.
If you're worried, you could reduce the voltage and the clockspeeds(Memory to around 6100-6300 and Core clock to around 1050/1100 MHZ and the voltage to default levels).
Hope this helps^^
