I can get a 2GB version of the 770 for around $330 , or a 4GB version for around $370-380.

Do I spend the extra 50 bucks? RIght now I'm running a Radeon 6950 2gb that I've had for almost 3 years and have always run everything on ultra. I'm running BF4 on High with no problems.

Do I or will I need 4GB?

Then yes, 2GB. The only exception to where you'd need more than 2GB on a 1080p monitor is if the refresh rate of the monitor is above 60Hz, which would then allow your GPU to display more than 60FPS. Allowing the GPU to generate more than 60FPS on a 60Hz monitor is a waste of electricity, time and VRAM (though it is useful for bragging rights 😛 ). This is why Nvidia offers Vsync to prevent this.

But yeah, if you have a monitor capable of more than 60Hz, go with 4GB.
