2gb vram for next gen consoles?

So,i'm having a dilemma right now.I recently decided to upgrade my old rig:3 gb ddr2 800 mhz,phenom II x4 940 BE,hd 5770 vapor-x.
And now i have an i5 2500k,4 gb ram and so on...The only thing i'm lacking right now is a video card.
I build this current rig from the money i got from selling my old one,so right now i only have a small budget left for a graphics card.Around 120$
So my question is should i wait to get some more money to buy a gtx 660 or 650ti or a 560 ti or go for a hd 7770 ghz .
I'm asking this question because next get consoles are right around the corner,so i'm thinking that vram requirments will increase quite a bit thus making the 660 a bare minimum for some games,so a 650 ti will be even worse.On the other hand buying a 7770 ghz right now isn't that expensive,so when next gen comes and beefier cards like the 660 or even the 670 and why not the 760 will be cheaper compared to how they are now,except for the 760 (it's not out yet).
PS:In my country(Romania) the cheapest 650 ti is at around 175 $ , the 660 220 or so and the 7770ghz at around 120-130.

next gen consoles will have 8gig of dedicated vram........... consoles aren't the same as pc". they use an APU vs a cpu.

the video card you should get is based on your system hardware and the monitor size/resolution.

if it's at 1600 resolution or above you want a gtx660/7870 or above. Don't waste your time on "small potato" cards.

i understand that they aren't the same,but keep in mind it still has more than 2 gb for vram(the 8 gb is shared with the ram and vram).So i guess that in the next year we'll see games not running quite well at 1080p with a gtx 660.What i want to know,is it really worth buying a 660 right now?or just get a 7770 and wait till next year for something better or a price cut for a 660

Ok, i had the same dilema a few weeks ago. Purchased a Radeon 7850 1GB. Then, i did some thinking and decided to try out a 2GB card, so i returned it and got the Radeon 7850 2GB OC.
For your info: - World of Warcraft / Ultra setting / 1080p - max Vram usage (got it from MSI afterburner monitoring software) 1, 45 GB ......
- Starcraft 2 / Ultra/1080p - max Vram usage 1,23 GB.
So, do i have to say more?
i was a bit surprised aswell because the majority of people said that 1Gb is more than enaugh for 1080p......

being on a budget kinda forces you to do that.I don't think there is a point in waiting a couple of months to be able to get a better video card that will to the job for just 6-8 months...

it's your money, do what you want......... kinda stupid you saying you're on a budget and then spending a lot of money twice.

that motherboard have on board video? use that until you can get a card. won't be pretty but................
