2GB vs. 1 GB

I have a question about two hp laptops. One has a 1 GB Radeon HD 7690. The other has 2 GB Radeon HD 7690. The 2 GB is obviously more expensive, but I would like to know is there a big difference between the two? Would I see a noticible difference when I am playing World in Conflict, Anno 2070, etc?

no their isnt. since your are at tops running 1080p on a laptop it wont matter since video ram will only help if you have a high resolution screen. the extra video ram isnt worth it

Are they both DDR5? If the 2GB is DDR3, you don't want it.

They use this market trickery to get rid of their old ddr3 chips, because the average noober automatically thinks 2GB is better than 1GB and they don't even realize it's much slower because the ram is much slower.

A 1GB ddr5 card will blow away a 2GB ddr3 card any day.

Either way the card doesn't have enough power to even use 2GB.

Yeah don't bother with 2gb, I'm assuming you're looking at a dv6 or dv7 on the hp website. Even at 1080p you'll really have no noticeable difference.
