Im thinking about buying 22'' LCD monitor, and now im stuck between buying a cheaper 5ms and more expensive 2ms monitor, does difference in responce time makes a big difference, does it worth the extra cost ??

depends on the cost imo, honestly you can probably find a benchmark or something like that if you hit up google. I'm sure somebody out there has tested 2ms vs 3ms vs 5ms etc.

My opinion, is that if you are a gamer then go with 2ms, simply because you know that you're getting the best, I have gone with 2ms lcd panels for my last THREE lcd purchases. I am sure alot of people will tell you that 5ms is fine for gaming and im sure it is, but if its not alot more money, get the 2 ms.

5ms vs 2ms is not a lot of difference, once you get that low on response times narrow your field by looking for a monitor with little input lag. Input lag won't affect image quality, but it can add a bit of latency to your games. Some monitors have 30-70ms of input lag, it's rarely measured and never advertised.

Actually, 2ms almost guarantees that you're getting the worst, because the only 2ms panels in existence (that I know of) are TN, the worst quality of the three major LCD types.

supposing you dont have a ton of money to spend to get a PVA or IPS panel(or do you?)you'll get a TN panel.

Firsti of all,and let me be clear about it,the response time is NOT the issue with the TN monitors, but INPUT DELAY IS......For example i have an HP LP2465 which is an s-pva monitor labeled 6ms and its fine even at FPS games, because it has quite low input lag.On the other hand, the 24" dell with the PVA panel had very high input lag resulting in 2 screens with the same response time being very different at how the game feels.

So,i will redirect you here:

,where you can find many good reviews about the screens you like.Spend some time there and you will be rewarded.

I have the Dell 2408WFP actually (S-PVA), and I love it. I have the A01 revision, so the input lag isn't bad (unlike A00, which had terrible lag). The colors are amazing, and I really have no complaints.
