[SOLVED] 2nd and 3rd montiors lagging when gaming

Hey, i have this problem where whenever im gaming on my main monitor and say watch a video on my 2nd, the video just lags alot, but when i opened streamlabs i see that not just videos are lagging but my entire pc is, (other then my main monitor.)

My specs are :
i7 6700
Asus Strix 1070
16 gb ram
msi z170a.

If anyone knows a solution to this please help me cuz its anoying me like hell.

Try running the game in Full screen Window instead of Full screen.

Are all your monitors connected to the GPU?

I've already tried that and i didn't solve it , and yes all my monitors are connected to my gpu.

List your monitors, how there connected (HDMI/DVI/DP), what resolution your using for each and the refresh rate.

Resolutions are all 1080p

2x 60 hz and 1 144hz

Samsung C23FG70 (144hz) (DP)
asus vx239 (60hz) (HDMI)
Philips 221p3lpy (60hz) (DVI)

Just for now change your main monitor to 60hz and fullscreen window, try this and see if it helps. Also note your CPU usage, HWmonitor works well.

I tried it, did not make a difference. the cpu is at 100% usasge. on all cores aswell ass my gpu.

That CPU usage is quite high even for gaming & videos, especially with that i7. If your running Win10 run a full scan via Windows Defender, then full via Malwarebytes & another AV such as Bitdefender (Free).

I scanned with both of em and nothing showed up. I think I'm going to reset my pc because my CPU idles at 30% which is bs. I'll come back after the reset and tell if it solved it or not...

Sounds good, yea that idle usage is quite a bit, but it's definitely the high CPU usage causing your lagging.

I fixed it by reseting my entire pc. everything runs super smooth now. so yeah it was the high cpu usage. thnx alot for your help man!

Your welcome, if it happens again make a note of any recent software changes and you should be able to fix it without doing the reset which can be time consuming.
