2nd drive not showing in device manager and disk management

So I bought this new hard drive and install it but when I look into the disk management there is only 1 drive which is my old drive so I go and look at the device manager and there is also only 1 drive. In the bios it shows at Sata7/8 and under that it shows my 2 hard drive. I have tried the memory diagnostic method. I am not sure if there's something wrong with the drive or I am just doing something wrong.

This is not that relevant to the advice, but just FYI, the link comes back with a "404 error - Document Not Found" and I can't see the drive.
As for the problem at hand, I'd recommend that you make sure that the drive is properly connected. You can also try the drive with a different SATA port and cables, to see if the same thing happens. It would be even better if you could try it with a different PC as well, either by connecting it externally (via a SATA to USB adapter, external enclosure, or a docking station), or internally via a standard SATA connection. You could also download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostics tool, to see if it can recognize the drive and if it can - run some tests, to see if anything out of the ordinary pops-up.
Usually when you install a brand new internal HDD, upon opening Disk Management you should be prompted to initialize the new drive if it is detected. Would you please post a screenshot of what you see there (you can use imgur.com) to upload the image.

Hi, thanks for the help, I just got it to work. I found out that one of my Sata port is really weird. It seems like it combines 2 drives in one sata port but anyway thanks for the reply.
Now I am struggling on the partition style should I choose MBR or GBT?

Basically if the drive is 2TB or less, it doesn't really matter that much as long as it is a storage drive (you're not going to boot from it) and if the OS is Vista or later. Go with GPT as it's the new standard and doesn't have the limitations of an MBR drive.
