Question 2nd monitor not detected

I have 2 displays: an old 1080p Sony TV connected via HDMI, and a brand new 1440p ASUS monitor connected via DP. Either display works properly on their own but every time I plug the ASUS in, the Sony stops displaying.

EDIT: I solved it. All I had to do was change the refresh rate of the Sony monitor to 60Hz. It was weirdly at 65Hz for some reason.

Glad you got the issue resolved. Often times the other thing people do to resolve the issue is to reinstall their GPU drivers. Using DDU to rid former driver and then manually reinstalling GPU driver with the latest sourced off GPU chip maker's support site(AMD/Nvidia).
