Question 2nd monitor showing even when unplugged.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this. I have 2 monitors, one via hdmi and the other via dvi. I tried unplugging the one with hdmi but it still being detected by windows 10. Is there a way for windows to automatically remove the unplugged monitor?

If it's not connected to your platform, it shouldn't be showing up. This holds true for any device, not just monitors. What version(not edition) of Windows 10 are you working with?

Are you working with an iGPU/APU or a discrete GPU?

I'm using Win 10 Pro version 21H2 with GTX 1650 GPU. Both are monitor is connected to the GPU.
