Alright i have 240w delll psu
12v-----17a
cant replace the psu as its 2.5x2.5x8.0
So i was thinking of adding gtx 750 ti but i guess it wont work so here is what i am doing
i will let the stock psu work but add Cooler Master Elite Power 460w just for gtx 650 ti
as a second psu.
PSU will fixed outside the case untill i get a bigger case . Untill then i will Connect 6pin from 460w to gtx 650ti and short the green and black 24pin with paper clip.
is it safe?
will gtx 750 ti work?
or gtx 650 ti with the method i mentioned.
how to short green and black wire on 24pin. i mean there are many black wires. \
thanks

If you're going to have an additional PSU on the outside of the case, instead of shorting it out, use the 460w to power your whole system, if the wires allow it. This shorting out the 460w just sounds like a fire waiting to happen.

you can do it i have done it before for benchmarks on tri sli shorting the wires is essentially telling the psu that the computer is powered up so that it turns on. unless you have a decent electrical knowledge i would not recommend you doing this. if you go against advice and do it. do not use a paperclip use insulated wire and make sure the ends are not exposed outside of the 24 pin connector
