Question 2x 5volts 4 wire pwm fans on 12volts

Good morning.

I need urgent help. Anyone with knowledge on this issue please....

I have recently change mobo on an Asus rog g751j which used 5 volts fans for cpu and gpu.

Upon upgrading the mobo from gtx965m to gtx980m the fan header is now 12volts.

I cannot find any 12v fans for this model. There are 12v fans for g751jy but slightly bigger in size and also cost more.

I read somewhere on a forum that you can run 2x 5v fans on 12v in series. Is it possible...?

If its possible the what about the pwm pin on each fan and header...? Can i just connect each fan pwm pin to its header or what else....?

I will realy appreciate any usefull info..

Purchased 12v fans for a msi laptop which fits in my laptop. Only pwm and tach wire location changed.
