Depends on workload.

Without knowing your exact system Intel/AMD/ Generation


If this is Intel the 4x8 is no problem. If you own them use them. Also depends on what motherboard generation your on if you can use 16 Gb memory.

AMD Ryzen are more sensitive on memory arrangement and timing speeds. AMD seems to play nicer with 2x sticks.
