Hello all

I have two same motherboards with exact the same problem

When I turn on the pc, at the top of the screen it shows a line with "GIGABYTE - UEFI DUAL BIOS" and after 2-3 seconds it turns off. Immidiately, it tries automatically to turn on again, the fans begins and it turns off in less than 1 second. After 2-3 seconds, again it turns on by itself and posts normally windows.

I tried new PSU, new memories, I have reset the cmos, i have changed bios battery, i even tried without hdd, but the problem still exists.

The BIOS version is FB, the last stable version that Gigabyte provides for these motherboards.

Please notice that the problem does not appear every time I turn on my systems. It's about the 90% of the times, but not always.

Here are the hardware on both of my systems

PC1:
Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2PV Rev 2.2
Intel Core i3-3220
4GB RAM
320GB HDD, PSU
450W ,
Windows 10 Home

PC2:
Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2PV Rev 2.2
Intel Pentium G2030
4GB RAM
250HDD,
PSU 300W
Windows 7 Home

Here is the first screen and then follow the two resets

And a screen from my bios, if it helps

Both cpus has integrated graphics so I'm not using any pci graphics card. However, i tried to use a graphics card on both systems, but the problem is still there.

Hello @fendersyros !

I always had problem with Gigabyte Mobos.
Last time I did this:
" Method 1
Shut off your computer
Hold the power button until your computer starts and shuts down again
Press the power button again, your backup BIOS should kick in now and should re-flash the backup BIOS if there's anything wrong with the new one.

Method 2
Shut off your computer
Hold the power AND the reset button for about 10 sec, than release.
It should boot into the backup BIOS now.
Method 3
Only use this if nothing else works.
Short out pins 1 and 6 on the main BIOS chip by attaching a jumper to both the pins (pin #1 should be marked with a red dot or whatever)
Tell a friend to press the power on button while you do this...
It's normal - having DUAL BIOS always causes trouble. If I remember you need to reset your BIOS, check in the internet how to do it on your motherboard. I had similiar problem with my client case, after reseting it everything went fine.

Such reset activity is often the motherboard trying to recover from a ram issue that it does not like.
I note in your bios photo that it says 2gb of ram while you think your specs say 4gb.
I suspect that you may have mismatched ram not from the same kit.

You can test your ram with memtest86.
It boots from a usb stick.
Test each ram stick individually and in different slots.

Thanks for your answer. The rams are good, brand new... when i took the photo of the bios i was testing if there is faulty memory slot, and i had removed one ram..

Thanks for your answer. I think I have already reset the bios. THere are two pins with CLR_CMOS label... I removed the bios battery, I unplug the power, I "touched" both pins with a screwdriver.. When I powered on, I got a screen for load default bios setting, or enter bios, because of the reset... Of course the problem appears again on next reboot...

I followed the second method... I got this screen... since then, I have rebooted several times without problem... now I want to leave the motherboard without power for a 5-10 minutes and I will try it again... if it works, I will do it also on my second motherboard... I'll keep you informed.. Thanks a lot !
